Young women and Industrial Design careers? It’s not oil and water—it’s the future. Our thought is that, if people don’t know about the excellent opportunities we have here, we have to reach out a little further. CCS teamed up with the Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford Design to create a series of “Women in Design” webisodes as the first step in a big movement: urging K-12 school systems, colleges and businesses to develop career paths for females who want to pursue Industrial Design. Also, what’s cool is that CCS’s Live Action Entertainment Arts students planned, scripted and executed this film. If we feel inspired by this (which we do), our hope is that you’ll get some butterflies, too. Watch now.
Meet CCS Product Design student Cori Steele as she discusses what led her into the industrial design (also known as Product Design) field and watch her work on a model for a new project.
